I would like to extract all .cab files into one file but before doing so can anyone give a reasonably accurate guesstimate of the eventual filesize please?

    Thanks

Why do you want to do this? You'll get a lot of stuff you won't need, such as drivers for hardware you don't have. A duplicate install of 98se takes up about 365 MB, so allow 1 GB and you've got plenty.

PowerToys for Win98 has a built in cab viewer...

The reason is not important and I already have a cab viewer.

      Thanks for the guesstimate.

I'm guessing you are building a bootable Win98 CD for someone...

Go to the bottom of the class Patio, your guess couldn't be further from my purpose.

Clue: it's connected with MS Batch.exe - but I'm just experimenting - and I don't want to Copy the .cab files to hdd, I want to Extract them to the hdd.

        Thanks for your interest.
