recovery console on bootable cd - xp

Hi, I want to copy the recovery console for Winxp
to a bootable cd for diagnostic purposes.


(rather than always using the 6 ms diskettes to do this)


I have read barts cd web page and it is unusually complicated and dicey.
Isn't there a more simple way to make a bootable cd?
Floppys are so simple!

why%%...there are  plenty of third-party software on the net....the boot<install disk does it all>*...
