monitor problem

I power up the computer but monitor doesn't come on but the monitor power light is on and and controls are constanting blinking thru .

     For us to help you we need some basic info  1st

    list your specs    Computer  / operating system / pertinent "hardware" like graphics card
     any possible changes as of late to your computer  ?
    was it up and running ok  before ?

    give us some more stuff to work with  >   :)

    The computer was working fine when I turned it off but I tried to turn it back on and got a blank screen. It works on windows os. It is a presidio computer. I don't think I am spelling it right.
