In 'System Configuration Utility', I changed from 'Normal' mode to 'Selective Start up mode'. System started well in selective mode.

Later on, I wanted to take it back to 'Normal' mode, whenever I come back to this utility, check the appropripate box and follow to 'Restart' as per the messages, everytime after 'Restart' system goes back to 'Selective mode'

How can I take it back to 'Normal' mode. Because of 'selective' mode, system is NOT recongizing my CD/DVD drives and I am therefore unable to boot it with original XP CD too. Many other functions are also not working.

Any suggestions to help me out with this situation are most welcome?
Did anyone land in similar problems.

Try selecting normal startup mode, then click 'apply' followed by 'OK'.
Then go and do a normal shutdown and bootup.
