Dragging and right clicking with mouse

Help please.

When I try to drag something my computer freezes. Also, when I right click my mouse button my computer freezes. This does not happen when I am on the internet. It happens when I am on my desktop etc. only. My computer is a Dell  Dimension 3000 and I am using Window Xp Version 5.1(build 2600 x psp-sp2-gdr.070227-2254:service pak 2. I do not know about computers and would appreciate any help.THANK YOU

Ok Firstly were just gona give your computer a basic Clean up, all the tools youlll need are linked to in a post by Dilbert in the Faqs section found here http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,20117.0.html

Before you install a new anti Virus.... Can you tell us do you have one allready, Dells Used to ship with norton , and now Mcaffe .. if you have one off thses already you may not want to install a new one while you have them installed

I would Advise you to Use CCleaner, Then Ad aware , Then Spybot search and Destory . and An anti Virus Program , Dibert has Panda listed there but i my self use AVG Free http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0
