No sound on laptop, but headphones work
« on: October 18, 2007, 07:57:47 AM »
Hi,
A couple days ago I noticed that I had no sound on my laptop (Dell Latitude D520).  I have checked all of the volume controls, nothing is muted.  When I plug in headphones I get sound.  I have tried searching the net for possible solutions, checked the Device Manager (no errors).  Not sure what else could be the problem.

Thank you for your help!

When I go there "Desktop Stereo speakers" is selected, this is also what my husband's computer (same as mine) has selected.  I tried to compare both computers' settings last night, but everything looked the same.
