Iexplore.exe--Application Error

I get the following message after I exit Explorer:

The instruction at "0x7729a60" referenced memory at "0x0227de44". The memory could not be "read", Click on OK to terminate program. ???

    OS? Has IE always done this? Have you tried updating it?

      Have you tried repairing Internet Explorer?

      Scan for Viruses, Spyware and Trojan Horses.

        You could try returning to a restore point.

        Like Raptor says, try virus scan and repair first.

        I did run a virus scan and it cleaned the following file:

        Downloader-DA.inf

        and I ran a spyware scan and had several items that I removed, it seems to work.
