Deleting fragmented files
« on: August 06, 2007, 07:10:45 AM »
Thanks for the help.

I'm running XP Pro SP2 and have two corrupted/fragmented files that won't defrag.  They are an old poker software that I've tried to uninstall and a Thunderbird email profile that is quite large unfortunately. I can't fix the email profile so I think I'll just have to dump it and start again.  I can't delete them either of them though, my computer blue screens.

The reason I need to delete them is I can't run a full system virus scan without my computer crashing and I can't move or copy the corrupted/fragmented files without a crash.  My computer's working fine otherwise.

Any suggestions oh wise ones?

I have yet to come across a file that Killbox can't get rid of... Just be VERY careful with what you do with this prog  :)

Start in Safe Mode and run your virus scan and then try deleting the corrupted/fragmented files.
