    Connecting 2 far away Computers
    « on: August 09, 2007, 01:42:44 AM »
Hi im just wondering can u connect 2 pc's together that are far away with different ISP's and make them look like they are on a router or lan?

Im trying to trick this program into thinking my friend's pc is on my network or my pc is on his, but i cant figure out how i can possibly do that. Any ideas?

We r both using windows XP with all updates

You would have to set up a VPN connection.
Here is how to do it:
Start -> connect to -> show all connections -> go to file and click new connection.
Just follow the steps* and you will be good to go.
NOTE: Make sure that both firewalls allow VPN connections.
NOTE2: Make sure that you're router allows it too.

      *1) Click next
      2) Click connect to the network at my workplace. Click Next
      3) Click Virtual Private network connection. Click Next
      4) fill in what they ask and finally click finish.

It's still not clear what you are trying to accomplish and why...post more details.

And who the heck is Yevon anyways ? ?

            Hamachi (google it)

Both of you must have it, then one of you creates a room and you join it and you basically have your own private secure lan. =)

Question - Just wondering, how far away is "far away". Like United States and Iraq?
