I have microsoft windows XP and can only connect to the internet in safe mode. A week ago i use ad-ware 07, defragmented and disk cleaned my computer. All seemed fine at first but then i started to notice that i couldnt connect to the internet and if i did it only lasted for a couple of seconds. I noticed that the ethernet light was flashing on my moderm. I have checked with my provider and they have said that it's fine but to use it in safe mode as some how the security has been effected. I have very limited knowledge of computers and i really could do with some advise.
