    When did this problem start?
The error message means that either there is no operating system installed or the computer can't find the hard drive where the operating system is installed.

During the driver installion, did it pause (hang)  and then you forced the computer off?
Maybe the drivers didn't regester with the os and then the os doesn't reconize them and then refuses to boot be cuase of a security issue. I've dont a lot of work on 98, XP, And Vista.
Anouther thing, 98 should auto-install them with the drivers becuase all the drivers on the cd are in the windows folder and its sub directorys becuase i done that for 2 years if though i got the disc.

Amrykid the problem isn't that windows 98 refuses to boot but that the BIOS can't find a bootable partition at all.
