i thought if i changed the title, maybe it would attract more people to help... :]

I have a Windows XP Desktop PC and it was working just fine earlier today. perfectly, actually.  no pop-ups got through and nothing froze and everything was great. So i got off and powered down and when i tried to turn it back on it stopped and did that thing with the flashing underscore [i'm not very computer literate] and said something along the lines of "Reboot or get new boot media..?" i don't remember. anyways. i need my computer back for school.. so people should definitely help me out please! haha. i'll get what it told me word for word later but i can't get on the computer right now.
PLEASE HELP ME!

There's actually no need to double-post. It makes it all very confusing.

No hard feelings, it's a common mistake.

You didn't change the title, you created an entirely new thread. I recommend you stick to your other thread and  rename that one by editing your original post and changing the subject.

    Thanks.

Having two threads gets confusing, so I closed the other one because this one has more replies.  Don't worry, it's a common mistake with new members.

The replies were mainly to tell him to use the other thread and not to double post, etc.. lol ? ?

Why did it screw up last time? Same symptoms?

          i downloaded something
and it changed the way i logged in
and i didnt like it so i tried to change it
          but it wouldnt let me because of "gt.Gina" {?}
so i like tried to uninstall gt.gina and it wouldnt take me to the login page.
and the reason i didnt like the way it logged in was because my dad had a parental lock on my user account so i wanted to use the guest account. my dad doesnt like myspace or msn... and i'm addicted to them both.
so we totally redid my computer. wiped it clean and everything.
and i said i lost the disc for the linksys wireless router..
so my parents dont know i can get online yet..
          and yeah.
          i'm a baaad child.
          but this kinda seemed fixable?
          idk.

Unfortunately since it is his machine and he has set down ground rules that's the way it is...
Until you are of age and or get your own machine you'll have to just follow his guidelines.

You could also try showing him your myspace account, explain what it is and maybe convince him to give you some latitude.

You're not a "baaad child"; that'a cool label you don't deserve. You're just a deceitful little dork. Also a fooll to tell us what you did.
