slow audio signal
« on: August 23, 2007, 12:55:51 AM »
3.0Ghz Celeron/1GB RAM Windows XP home.
Any audio playing on my pc is glitchy.  CD's, I tunes files, or streaming audio using WMP, Real Player, whatever... I can hear it cuting in and out slowing down ect... If i allow it to play for a while it eventually gets better but for the first 20sec or so it sounds like garbage.  Never used to happen. Please help!

When did things change / checked to see what's running in the background / does it do the same in Safe Mode?

You're using onboard sound, right?  An add-on sound card may be the solution.  I have one of these and it worked fine for me: CHAINTECH AV-512 5.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card - Retail
