XP-- Can't access internet
« on: August 26, 2007, 04:38:15 AM »
All of a sudden I can't get online on one of my desktop machines. MB is a PCChips M863
Something has changed in the XP OS.  Packets are being received but not sent out.  I installed XP on another drive and then everything works fine but I don't want to lose my desktop icons etc.
Is there anyway to repair the XP install or what is the best solution ????
I appreciate your help...

Can you be more specific?  When you click to open your Internet browser, what happens?
