But did you try any of the other things? No one can know for sure what the problem is. Do you have a sound card or is it on the motherboard? Do you have Intel or AMD? AMD and VIA chip sets give sound cards trouble. I had to throw away a perfectly good Sound Blaster and replace with a cheap MadDog one because of this problem.
