Can't get system restore to restore my system!

I am running Windows XP on an ACER Power PC. When I try and do a system restore it opens the system restore page but the box is blank white. I haven't a clue apart from thinking that some system 32 files are missing. Can anyone help?

Do you happen to have a Windows CD that says Microsoft all over it or just an Acer Restore disc ? ?
