Modem Not Present

Yep, me again. Ok, when I tried to connect to the internet, it says the modem was not detected. So I look into the Phone and Modem Options and it says that my modem is not present. How do I fix it? I have an external modem or a modem connected to my computer.

More details are needed. What type of modem. How does it connect to your computer ? USB cable? What version of windows are you using?

Has you used this computer to connect to the internet before and it has stopped working or is it a new connection you are making?

I have connected to the internet before but it's not working now.
It's connected with a phone cable.

Re-install the modem drivers...
Afterwards check in Device Manager to make sure it is there.
Then run the modem setup to enter the phone # etc.
