Is there a way to tell the wattage on my power supply without removing the cover?

I'm quite sure the answer is no.  No such data is passed from the PSU to some program in your computer or to Windows.  Some software tools, such as EVEREST Free Edition 2.20 can be used to obtain very detailed info about your hardware and software but I just looked at an Everest report on my system and it contains nothing about the PSU.

If yours is a brand name purchased as assembled from
the factory, you should be able to do a web search and
find out what size PSU you have.

If not try the manufacturers website.

Thanks guys! I'll opt for disconnecting and taking the cover off... The link to Medieval Tech Support was hilarious!
