Try the University bookstore...being a student you may qualify for a discount MS Office package...

Did you ask them if they could order Office 2003 ? ?

Google shows tons of places to buy it.

I'd still look into the bookstore for the student discount program.

I would check MS's site first ...your presentation built in the 2007 version may not work properly on 2003.

I'm still stuck on this...
At any University whether you are studying frogs, photography or PowerPoint presentations the School usually makes any materials related to a line of study available to those taking the courses...
Since PP2003 is required i find it unlikely they would not make it available.
This would be like having a course on Roman Archicture offered and the bookstore didn't carry any textbooks on Roman Architecture...

i think there's more to this story than we've been told.

Unfortunately, I think his remarks are right on target.  ;)

You cannot legally download it. Period. And we don't assist with illegal downloads and piracy here so you may be out line with your indignance.

Many places, especially online, have MAJOR student discounts. As you have waited so late in the game that may not be an option, but in the future you may want to visit www.academicsuperstore.com

Maybe a friend has a 2003 version you could use for a day. If not, perhaps a stop by the local Starbucks, etc. would allow you to make a new friend.

Thanks for dropping by, though.  ;)

I really don't understand the problem here... You have PP 2007 correct? Just save your presentation as a "Powerpoint 97-2003 presentation" and any previous version of PP will open it.

    Just a few things...

    1.  PopwerPoint 2007 will work just fine.  You can save your work as a 2003-compatible slideshow.  There are also file converters that allow 2003 to view 2007 files.  You don't need any new software.

    2.  Schools don't always offer the required software.  My online classes require the use of Microsoft Office 2007 and Photoshop CS3, neither of which are sold at my school.  But if you talk to someone there, they should give you a link and a promo code so you can get a discount.

    3.  The OP never asked for an illegal download.  He (I'm assuming gender) simply asked if we knew where he could download or buy it.  He just didn't know where to go.  With that said...if you are a university student (especially if you do anything even slightly related to computers), you should have a better grasp on how to use Google.

    4.  trouble...although the guys may be giving you a little bit of a hard time, I do think you are overreacting just a tad.  Nobody is accusing you of stealing or trying to steal.  They're just trying to get a better understanding of the situation.  We get a lot of people coming here and asking for cracks and illegal software and whatnot, so it's easy to be suspicious.

the moderator should have sent a email to reply to my report but failed to keep my email between HIM AND I   .BREECH' ??? ???

So...he wanted to download and buy it...but then changed his tune...

Nothing that was said or done here was out of line...it was handled in the correct manner...

If he wanted a free or trial download he should have specified this...

    We are not mind readers...

Kudos to all who tried to help him...just goes to show...you can't please everyone...oh yeah...one last thing...he'll be back.
