~!! Windows Backup won't restore files!!

I have a backup of my harddrive and I tried to restore it after installing a new harddrive. The backup is on my 2nd harddrive and I'm trying to restore it to the new harddrive. But for some reason when it lets me choose the items to restore, it doesn't show any files at all. I clicked on the restore button and it says there is no files to restore. The pic is a better description. Help!!

I feel bad that you relied on the built in Windows backup utility. It looks like there is no backup.
When did you run it and were there any problems with the machine prior to this ? ?

ahhh ha yeah me too. Well it worked before because I reformatted my drive and after that I used the backup restore and it restored all my files. But I don't know why it won't work anymore

Well I downloaded some free trial of some backup recovery program and it seems to be able to find all my files and the only problem is that they are trying to charge me $99 to use it. Doesn't seem like there's anyway I can recover my files

if possible, un-format. no wait... thats impossible, re-format it or check with the product maker for a solution. maybe they will send you a new 1 free!!!!!

and about the no backup thing, do you have the files on your internal HD?

I dont rely on the windows backup program because it can constantly screw up your computer and it doesnt keep backups properly
