new ipod
« on: September 05, 2007, 02:46:08 PM »
The new iPod is out now. It looks pretty cool and kinda makes me wish I would have waited a couple months before I bought mine.
The iPod nano can now play video and has a bigger screen. Classic ipod looks the same but you can now get even more storage for the same price.
But the iPod Touch..... That looks awesome. basically an iPhone without the phone. you can surf the web via Wi-Fi on its larger screen.

I still think that an iPod is a waste of money.
There are much cheaper MP4 players that are at least as good as the iPod.
I know much of you won't agree with me but I would advice everyone to look for MP4 players before buying an iPod.

You read my mind . . . an iPod is the last thing I'd buy.

I have not had time to look at this but have heard about it and all the positives but, do these  new ones still have a hard drive or did they throw  flash memory in there?

What is that piece of  ::)

You're supposed to use that to listen to music, not to watch videos on a 5cm screen.

I have a 4GB MP3 that is probably more practical than that thing.

I prefer flash drive over HD but when it comes to mass storage (10GB+) I like Hard Drives.

Yea,  I'm gonna sound like a sucker here*
I swear by the flash drive units but come on! Nothing is sexier than the Ipod! I bought 2   30 gig units for my kids last xmas and man, they are cool looking...I keep hearing from my older peers that they want  wifi  with their units  ?  Once someone makes  the classy decision to not make you use a subscription (which I doubt) service to utilize the new wireless stuff, it will be a number 1#  seller !    jmo

well, iPODS look cool, but that's the only plus it gets.

If Apple could license out iPOD technology to authorized designers / makers, then that would be awesome. Make the iPOD more user-friendly and whatnot.

Like, say, apple gets paid every time a device with the iPOD technology gets sold...

If someone would buy me an iPod, the government can spy on me as much as they want.

how about the ipod rip offs that you can find in any tourist area? ive seen a couple places around that advertise mp4 players and then when you see it, its almost exactly like an ipod but for 80 dollars. whats the deal with these, are these crap?
