It's your Firefox - tell us how it is!
« on: September 06, 2007, 11:31:02 AM »
In this thread, what I'd like to see is a picture of your Firefox browser and a list of extensions/themes installed, as well as which ones are used.
I'll got first - below is a picture of my Firefox on about:blank with a few tabs open, and with the extensions installed clearly shown.
And the theme is Winestripe - FF1.5 theme for FF2.0.

Edit:  This thread is about Firefox.  Not IE, Opera, Lynx, Safari or any other browser.

I'm not smart enough to post a screen shot of my Firefox. I will say I use the Opaque + Clear Tabs 1.4 theme and I like it very much.

I might get the no-script addon.
It's worth it for the extra safety and decreased page laod times (no waiting for Java or Flash to load if you don't want them).
But your image is very small, any chance of a larger one?

For future reference, it's the Print Screen button to take a screenshot.  Paste into an image editing application such as paint and save.

            How's this
            Better.
I recommend you get the Filterset.G Updater, it keeps Adblock Plus updated with the latest ad filters from Filterset.G, I find they're very reliable.
Unless of course you already have a subscription to another filter, or block the ads manually.

Deerpark, you stole almost all my extensions!
            LOL.

Great minds think (pick extensions) alike. :)

                This is my Firefox.
I am using "Maxi" as my theme.

I noticed that Calum and Deerpark are using "Menu Editor".
I was using Menu Editor for a while but it seemed to slow Firefox's startup time.
Have either of you noticed a problem?

                That's a fair few extensions.
                Nice theme though, quite minimal.
I like minimal, as you can see.

I'm using Menu Editor mainly because I tried to do everything I do with this extension now (hide everything I don't use) with the userchrome.css file.  However, I made a right mess of it and couldn;t find out how to hide most of them.
I did hope that this extension would edit this file, and then I wouldn't have to use it again.
                But, no such luck.
I'll give the css file another go when I get my laptop back though, before resorting to this extension again.
I don't find it slows Firefox's startup at all, on this laptop (1.4GHz Celeron M, 512Mb RAM, 40 Gb 5400rpm HDD) Firefox starts in around 5 seconds.

I'm actually using Personal Menu now. So thanks for making me aware of this extension Kip. :)

Maybe it is because I am running Firefox from a U3 drive.
I am using a computer with a 2.0GHz AMD Athlon and 1GB of RAM.

I am glad I could help.
