    no power

    I have a p4 2.8 ghz, 1 gig ram, just died on me today, nothing, replaced power supply still nothing, does this mean for sure motherboard shot or could it still be something else.

      Is it plugged into a power bar?  If not does anything else work that you plug into that electrical outlet?

      What make and wattage is the PSU you put in ? ?
      Is it new or used ? ?

        Hi, Ok, i tried in another outlet no go, Nothing happens at all when i try and start it.
        The power supply is a brand new 400 watt.
        I am just wondering if it could be anything else except mobo.

        Did you do anything to the CPU ?

          What they are asking is a 400watt What? The maker of the PSU is more important than the stated wattage or the price.
