I LOST ABOUT 8,000 EMAILS FROM MY OUTLOOK EXPRESS

Ihave windows xp.  I was left with about 1,500 emails and all my sub files were left in tact..

the computer guy cannot find those emails anywhere!

There does not seem to be any sign of corruption that he could see..also the emails were from various years..not just from say 2007.

Any ideas welcome, or any links where I can find out very specific instructions to do my own search would be great.  I know my guy has done his best, and he is baffled.
