Need to copy file from Windows XP disk
« on: September 12, 2007, 03:18:59 PM »
Hello gents.

I'm needing to copy the vgaoem.fon file from my windows XP disk.  I'm using the following command line in the repair console:

expand D:\i386\vgaoem.fo_drive:\windows\system

The problem is that it can not find or recongize this directory.  Placing the windows XP disk into another computer and searching through the disk I find that there is in fact a I386 directory and also the file I'm needing to replace.  Any suggestions?

Expand is looking for a folder named D:\i386\vgaoem.fo_drive:\windows\system and of course there isn't one.

Try expand D:\i386\vgaoem.fo_ c:\windows\system

Note the space between fo_ and c:

Good luck
