Firefox generated permission file
« on: September 18, 2007, 06:51:16 PM »
I'm trying to delete a file generated by firefox, it seems to be some type of cookie file. Im' unable to find it using search, my computer etc. The only way that I know it is there is by using Directory Snoop and Disk Investigator.  When I find it using those tools it's says it's a permission file.#This is a generated file! Do not edit... host cookie, Any ideas on how to get rid of it or finding it so I can delete it.
Thanks

Directory Snoop and Disk Investigator are both tools for finding/viewing/recovering deleted files... so if you're seeing it in these tools then it is probably deleted. Many programs create temporary files at run time that is deleted when the program terminates.
But why do you want to remove it anyway?

You might try CCleaner.  A Yahoo toolbar comes with the standard download but you will have the option to omit that during installation of CCleaner.
