    I Have A Question
    « on: September 24, 2007, 10:47:38 AM »
I have an older computer (PC) with no ethernet  port, regular dial-up modem. I was wondering if there was any way to run a high speed connection off of it, maybe through some type of adapter? Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

AJBlue ....... If you wish to have the ability to connect to the internet via either a dialup or a high speed connection, you will require either a ethernet card or a dialup modem card.
To use either of these cards, you require a available slot on the motherboard.
The type of slot required is either a ISA (old) or PCI ...........

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

It will be USB 1.1 and the operating system may not be supported by the provider. For the price of a USB 2.0 card, he may as well get a PCI NIC card.
