Lost recycle bin

When my computer started up today the recycle bin was gone!
I've tried the search facility without luck.
Where can I get another?
Operating Vista home premium, 2 months old.

Getting it back is fairly easy. The quickest is probably to download and install Tweak UI, one of the "Power Toys" available from Microsoft. Run that, and the Desktop section allows you to select which icons to show on the desktop by default. You should be able to turn the recycle bin back on there.

OR if you don't feel like reading that site,

then do this:

1. Right click on any blank space on desktop.
2. Click Personalize
3.On the Personalization box that appears, click Change Desktop Icon (Link should be on left)
4. Check mark the missing icons that you want to see on desktop
5.Press OK and exit out of personalization box and get back to your own work!!

Well this is how windows vista works if you don't want to install any other programs or tweak any other settings. So simple does work in this case ...

Im saying sometimes the long route is better than the short ..... you learn so much more taking things the longer way .......

yeah i know that. But the original poster just figured ot something he did not already know. So you are learning things either way.

Sometimes simple is good, sometimes longer is better, but that depends on the situation.
