3D Acceleration
« on: September 24, 2007, 09:25:46 PM »
All right,

I just reformatted my hard drive and re-installed everything.  I installed the software for my motherboard, I updated my drivers and have the latest version of direct X installed.

Unfortunately, now I cannot start up any of my games.  They automatically crash.  I went into dxdiag and tested the Direct Draw and Direct 3D.  The Direct 3D is unable to finish the tests and displays an error.  In dxdiag my driver versions and direct x versions look correct.  I cannot figure out why I am unable to run games.

Anyway, thank you for the help.  I took a look around the forum, but didn't see anything that would help me with this problem.

Some info about the machine in question would be good right about now...

Yes, I agree. This would be a swell time for some system specs.

    Good call, patio.
