The cool thing about Everest is those links listed in your report are where all the appropiate drivers are...i'd certainly suggest installing the MBoard drivers before trying to get the sound straightened out...

As this is the info we're going on:

I do have the sound driver, it's the Multimedia audio controller that has the problem, and I don't have the driver for that, unless it's the same as the sound driver.

It is...right clik it in Device Manager and select remove.
Re-boot and re-install the drivers.

Err...How? I removed it, but the Add New hardware wizard doesn't register the driver, and the installer just installs the sound driver again.
