External Monitor Display Help
« on: September 30, 2007, 07:45:52 PM »
Hi,

The backlight on my compaq laptop recently went out and i was forced to hook up my old viewsonic crt monitor to the laptop as the display. The laptop screen is barely visible but viewable if I put my eyes within an inch or so away. Anyways, I was having a problem with movie files not displaying on the CRT monitor but displaying on the laptop which i thought was very strange so i went into display properties and messed it up completely. Now the crt monitor is stuck at a certain frame and my attempts to repair it have been unsucessful! Could anyone please give me some insight into fixing either problem! Thanks in advance

ok.

1. what operating system are you using? I assume windows ... if so, what kind? Vista or XP or anything else?

2. what did you do in display settings that cause problem you received.

3. if you have second computer, try testing out crt monitor to be sure crt monitor is still alive and working well.
