How old is your computer? What OS? Was your resolution always that way, or something changed?

          Go Start>Run
          Type in:
          devmgmt.msc
It'll bring you to Device Manager
Click "+" sign next to Display Adapters, and it'll show what kind of graphic card\chip you have
Post the name back here, and we'll try to find a new driver for you, if it exist.

Normally, you would have Display Adapters folder, but I can see, it's missing.
I suspect, that tech guy did something wrong, and now your video driver is missing.
I can see under your Other Devices, "VGA Controller".
Does it have a question, or exclamation mark next to it?

                Go back to Device Manager.
Right click on VGA Controller, click Properties, click Driver tab, click on Update Driver button.
Upgrade Wizard will appear, click Next.
Make sure there is a checkmark next to "Search for suitable driver for my device". Click Next.
On next screen, make sure there is NO checkmark in any of displayed options, and click Next.
Windows will search for your driver, and it may find it. If it does, accept it, and Windows will install it.
If no driver is found, we'll have to find it for you, but it's a next step.

Don't worry. It was just first step, and Win 2K often fail to find correct driver, or maybe that tech guy lost it somewhere.
Now, you have to download, and install "Everest", from here:http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,23043-order,1-page,1-c,alldownloads/description.html
                  After installing, run it.
In left pane click "+" sign next to Computer, then click on "Summary".
In right pane, you'll see two columns: "Field", and "Value". Some entries in "Value" column will be displayed in black, some in blue. Blue entries will provide more information, when clicked on them.
I'd like you to post "Values" for following lines:

                  -under Motherboard:
                   * CPU Type
                   * Motherboard Name
                   * Motherboard Chipset

                  -under Display:
                   *Video Adapter
*3D Accelerator (may be not listed)

Please, also tell me which of those 5 "Values" are displayed in BLUE.
                  We'll go from here.

                        Great info...Thank you :)
You'll find your driver here: http://www.softwarepatch.com/utilities/s3proddr.html
Download above file (S3G_ProSavageDDR_winxp_v139433.exe), and double click on it. It'll install your video driver in known to Windows location.
                        When it's done,
                        Go back to Device Manager.
Right click on VGA Controller (under Other Devices), click Properties, click Driver tab, click on Update Driver button.
Upgrade Wizard will appear, click Next.
Make sure there is a checkmark next to "Search for suitable driver for my device". Click Next.
On next screen, make sure there is NO checkmark in any of displayed options, and click Next.
Windows will search for your driver, and it should find it. If it does, accept it, and Windows will install it.
                        That should do it.
                        Let me know.

I've noticed, that under "Other Devices", you have three other entries:
                          ....ETHERNET CONTROLLER
                          ....MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CONTROLLER
                          ....USB CONTROLLER
Do they also have exclamation/question marks.
Is your sound OK, for instance?

Eventually those entries should be fixed, too. I think the best way would be, if you open Everest one more time.
You'll see "Report" button at the top.
Click on it. Report Wizard will open.
                            Click Next.
Put checkmark next to "All pages".
                            Click Next.
                            Put checkmark next to "HTML".
                            Click Next.
It'll generate report about your computer (it may take couple of minutes).
When it's done, click on "Save to File". Save it to some known location, and email it to me (I'll PM you with my email address).
It's almost time to bed here, so I'll take a look at it tomorrow.

                              girlnxtdoor...
Now, we'll try to solve your audio driver problem...in case you'll get yourself a set of nice speakers, to listen to some nice music, while surfing internet.... :D

Whole procedure will be very similar like with your video driver.

Your Audio Adapter is: Realtek ALC655 @ VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller

You can download your audio driver is located here:
                              http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=6&PFid=6&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

                              Download highlighted item:

It comes as ".zip" file, so double click on it to unzip it (I assume, you have some unzipping program installed on your computer).

Now go back to Device Manager, but this time right click on MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CONTROLLER under "Other Devices", then Properties, and perform exactly same steps as with updating video driver.

After installation is completed, MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CONTROLLER entry in Device Manager should disappear, an you should have    Realtek ALC655 @ VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller listed under "Sound, video, and game controllers".
                              Good luck :)

Unzipping program is a must, so get free "7-zip" from here: http://www.7-zip.org/
                                Download highlighted file:

After installing "7-zip", your downloaded audio driver zipped file will unzip (uncompress) when double clicked on it.

If you installed "7-zip", in that "Open with" dialog box find "7-zip", click on it to highlight it, put a checkmark in "Always use the selected program to open this type of file", and click OK. Your driver file should unzip.
From now on, every ".zip" file will open with "7-zip".

It happens...Driver Wizard, despite his name is not always that smart...LOL
                                          Let me ask you this.
When you unzipped downloaded audio driver, what is unzipped files location? There should be two folders:
                                          - 2K
                                          - 98Me
Where are those two folders located in your computer, and please post the names of files in folder "2K'.
You should have 3 files there.
