unopenable file

i downloaded a program from mininova site. downloaded the wizo torrent program, it is a huge file and i cannot open it, PLS IF ANYONE CAN HELP.im about to throw my computer out the window---doc

    docski1973  we can't see your computer, so you'll have to tell us what kind of file it is if we are to have even the slightest chance of helping you.

    I'm suspecting though that it is some kind of illegal download which we per forum rules cant help you with.

    iys a jar file and the other one is uif, i dont know what either is.its dictation software i dont think anything is illegal?

    There are both compressed files.
    - ".jar" file can be open by any program, which can open ".zip" file (Winzip, 7-zip, etc.)
    - ".uif" is ISO type compressed file, and as far, as I know, it can be open only by MagicISO (not free, however they have a trial version)

    CAUTION! Any file downloaded from sources like "torrent" has to be checked against viruses, BEFORE you even try to touch them!!!

      Daemon Tools does a good job with most image files and its free.
      Its not what you know, its what you can do that counts!
