BACKING UP/SAVING MOZILLA BOOKMARKS WHEN REINSTALLING VISTA OS!!!??

It's been a very long time since I had to reinstall my OS, but I do recall that I was able to save my favorite places (IE?) - of course now I exclusively use Mozilla. Their help menu does not address this issue. I don't want to lose all my bookmarks.  Can someone walk me through it, please?  Thank you sooooo much!

will save all your settings (bookmarks, mail, contacts, history, extensions, cache etc.). Works for Thunderbird as well.
