    startup issue
    « on: October 14, 2007, 01:22:35 PM »
i was wondering what is the best startup mode i should have. normal, diagnostic, or selective? because every time i start up my computer, it starts with asking me what kind of start up i want and it loads for two seconds and it starts running normally to my windows. there is nothing wrong with my startup right?

Go to msconfig, and make sure, you have a checkmark in "Selective", and all options below.
Next time, you start your computer, Windows will display a message about you, using selective start.
Put a checkmark in "Don't show this message again", and click OK.

selective startup - process system.ini file, process win.ini file, load system serivces, load startup items, and use orignial boot .ini

If it happens, as you say, before Windows starts, it must be some setting in your BIOS. Go there, and dig around.

You have to start a new topic about it...
