Game will not load, doesn't appear as a running app. in task manager

Trying to play a CD-ROM, when I put in the disc it loads up, I click play, then it shows the picture of the title of the game.  That disappears, after which the game would normally load.  After that, nothing happens.  Also, the game does not appear in task manager as a running application.  Plz help!

What game is this? Try looking for something like this on the official gaming website in FAQ, they should have something to do with this. Right now I could say its video drivers which you could try updating.

Yes more info is needed including:
your computer's specs
your version of windows
the name of the game
has it ever worked?
If yes, what happened prior to when it stopped working. Did you install or remove something etc.
