C000021a fatal system error
« on: December 12, 2004, 12:14:14 PM »
I get a darn blue screen, I cannot boot up in windows or windows safe mode.

Stop:C000021a {Fatal system error}

This session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a state of 0xC0000034 (0xC00000000 0x00000000)

The system has been shut down.

Any ideas?

Neil

    Please provide more information.
    Operating system? How far can you actually get? What happened just before this happened?

    If you can get to the DOS promt, try running scanreg /restore

      If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

      Dell Dimin on Xp Home

      How far did I get, right before the windows start up screen.

      Before this, the only thing that was strange was my resolution the night before got thrown off.

      I called guys at dell and they said to flush it out, but I didnt want to do this I wanted to see if it was a bug or something that I could get out.  I guess I will have to, any clue on what it is... I mean I know about adaware and spyware; I am apart of groups that use hijackthis.exe but when it comes to errors like this, that blind me from using programs I get lost...

      I think I will just flush it out.

      Any ideas on what the error is, or how I got it?

      Thanks

        Restart and press F8 repeatedly. On the startup menu, select command prompt. Run scanreg /restore
