Print problems in windows XP Pro SP2
« on: October 26, 2007, 10:17:45 AM »
HI;
Help! Help!
I can't print anything from notepad, wordpad, paintbrush, and some text form the net.
I have checked my printer and it works great. I just installed the updated print driver for my machine, and that did not fix the problem.
I have PrintMaster Gold, prints great! Got corel Draw, also works, but when I try to print from any MS program the printer indicates PRINTING STARTED, and it sounds like it's printing but the page is blank.
I have tried all the troubleshooting from Lexmark sieries 1200 and Microsoft
nothing seems to fix the problem.

Help! Please
Dave

    When you go to print from an MS app at the printer setup page what is showing as the default printer in the drop-down list ? ?
    If you have a FAX program for example it may default to this...

    How many printers are shown in Control Panel ? ?
    Uninstall any tou are not using then right clik the one you want select Properties and set it as the default printer...
