ATI 7500 not working right in Gigabyte motherboard
« on: November 01, 2007, 01:46:27 PM »
I had tried installing the drivers(ATI OEM,and Omega gamers drivers) in
Windows Vista, but have had Windows Vista subsequently remove,or disable the drivers, and install the Windows Vista Digitally certified driver.
After that the ATI acted as if there was no hardware accelleration-BTW,
I did check to see if the hardware accelleration feature was enabled, and it was!!
I do know that this video graphics card is AGP,and fits in the AGP slot
with no compatibility problems interface wise, but I don't know if the motherboard has an automatic feature to set the AGP slot voltage to the
correct one for the  ATI video card this Gigabyte will work with AGP 4x,and 8x
cards.
i had success using this same ATI card with the ATI drivers in a BIOSTAR m/b,
and the BIOS had autodetect(or setting)for the AGP slot-the Gigabyte does not however.
I was wondering if anybody has any experince with using flash bios utilities to flash the bios of one mobo manufactue to a different mobo with the same BIOS
manufacture(Award)???
