    « on: November 02, 2007, 05:49:07 AM »
My O/S is WINXP i have two hard disc in my computer using winxp on both disc i reformatted one of the disc and reistalled WINXP.
I reinstalled some of the software when i rebooted i got the message no NDLR restart computer i did this but still got the same message, using a flopy disc with Partition Magic i rebooted.
When i got into the Partition Magic program i changed the partition from primary to logical and the computer rebooted as normal allowing me to pick which hard disc to boot to.
I have never had to do this before could some one please tell me what is the difference in primary and logical and how they work.
I think what might have caused the problem in the first place i used the disc that came with the mainboard to reinstal the sound i also reinstalled a bus driver that i haven't done before .
    thanks in anticipation jhadd
