Why are sites blocked all of a sudden?

Hello people, a few days ago i noticed i cant log into myspace.com. When i type in my password and click log in it takes me straight to th e GOOGLE homepage.  It is like the page is blocked. I have tried the little things delete cookies and temp internet files. I dont know what else to do. I dont want this to happen to other websites so please someone help me.

I have a Dell SX270
Running Internet explorer and have Firefox also.
Windows XP
