help finding a firewall
« on: November 10, 2007, 09:11:16 AM »
im looking for one. so, please suggest any good firewalls. thanks.

i recently tried using ZoneAlarm but it lagged the *censored* out of my computer, and the startup time was a crazy 10mins++. is there any firewall that isn't so 'heavy' on the system?

Welcome aboard ;D ;D ;D
I don't like ZoneAlarm, either.
Vista - PC Tools free firewall: http://www.pctools.com/firewall/
XP - Comodo: http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

Yeah...I really like it on Vista.
Comodo seems to be taking top places in most of rankings, but...
1. They don't have Vista version, yet.
2. I have it on my Windows 2K, and there is one thing, I don't like about it. It seems to keep forgetting, what process I did allow already, and which one I blocked. It keeps asking same question over, and over.
