Windows XP v. 5.1 on x86

try frostwire. see if that problem comes up. frostwire is built on similar if NOT exactly same code as limewire.

But I find it gives you the turbo speed that only pro version of limewire gives you.

    Or torrents. They're always helpful. i.e. uTorrent  (and less viruses and crap)

    If you use P2P software or torrents, be certain that you are NOT sharing any files or that you are careful if you do want to share files.

    Limewire (and similar programs) and torrents I think automatically shares files unless you change settings. And it is illegal to be sharing files that way and you don't want to get into trouble  :)

      P2P will automatically share your files, torrents however will only share your files if you specifically create a torrent and tracker for them, and send someone the torrent file. Also, when a download has finished, unless you click stop, it will 'seed' that download, which is basically sharing it with somebody. But of course, if it's a legal download (which it obviously is), you won't have to worry about that, will you?
