cursor and computer freezes

Hello Friends, Happy ThanksGiving....May I ask of your assistance for a wierd problem that I am encountering...

Everytime that I try to do anything in the "Address Bar" of my browsers - either IE and MSN, my cursor immediately freezes and I am tottally unable to do anything, even key board commands will not operate.

We need more info....Windows version, your security programs, recent changes to your computer, etc.
Did you try System Restore?
