the drivers for my multimedia audio controller are not installed

My pc was reformatted a couple of weeks ago. There is a yellow exclamation point beside the multimedia audio controller and also an error code 28 was present. When I play my winamp a message appears “bad sound driver. Error code 88780078. I even reinstall this device and reboot my pc but  it says that cannot find the driver for the device. I have lost my cd installer.

Before we go further, what is brand and model of audio controller? Or at least what do you know about it?

If I have more information, I can then go find your drivers for you.

Do you have an onboard sound card or not..

If your sound card is onboard then you should find your Mboard utility cd other wise you have to know what brand chip you running on so that we can direct you to your sound drivers.

When you try to play your music with media player what happens to the songs, do they go yellow/red?

More info please cause your sound drivers were delete during formating, it always happens.

I tried to open the site which street1 directed me and for just 1 sitting down infront of my computer I got the right driver which is wdm3516b_Cadenza.  Now my sound is working.  Thanks a lot!

i also have same problem about multimedia audio controller, after formatting my OS, there's an yellow mark on multimedia audio controller and i cannot find the right drivers.. pls help me..
