Well, that's my own personal opinion.. ::)

I am a teacher and I sort of stumbled across King's Quest VI as part of some free software at my school a very long time ago! Got curious-played the game and just loved it! Then I started teaching it to kids-as bonus time for getting their academics done. I have yet to meet a child who does not love this game. Then I decided to collect all of the KQuest series. Was delighted to get it as a package from the internet cheap. It does not have lots of violence but has humor and high interest for ADD children. So now I am hooked. Have not played anything else-don't have time right now.

        questfan,
do any of the kings quests run on windows XP?

I know this question wasn't directed at me, but I do know the answer which I actually pointed out to someone earlier in this thread, but it's gotten so long I wouldn't be surprised if you missed it.

All of the Quest series (Police Quest, Space Quest, King's Quest) and the LSL (Leisure Suit Larry) games were re-released in 2006 (?) as collections that claim they work in Windows XP. What Sierra did was include a custom tuned version of DOSBox, a free DOS emulator. Being a huge Space Quest fan, I purchased the Space Quest collection of course. It runs pretty well. The only issues I had were with an occasional crash of DOSBox (which is still in BETA testing) and my video card doesn't display 320x200 quite right. The pixels should be slightly rectangular and not square. Other than that, I'd say it works pretty well.

If you have an older version of the game and not the collection, you can download DOSBox from http://www.dosbox.com. It takes a while to learn how to tweak it, but it works well for most old DOS games. I've also run The Dig and Full Throttle in it. Worth a looking.

personally i like any Action/Adventure game and FPS games:
                    all of the Dooms(1,2,3)
                    Halo(2,3,didnt like the first)
                    Portal
Mario(every mario game that is adventure)
                    earthbound(really fun, but kinda hard)
                    classic games
                    Megaman
                    Pokemon(AMAZING!)
Naruto(Very Good)(like every naruto game expect the ones on DS)

thats all that i can think of so far, i'll get back when i remember some others.
If you dont know DOS, you dont know Windows...

Thats why Bill Gates created the Windows NT Family.

Oh yes, I also think that winning a mine sweeper game is a big achievement .

I have never succeeded in a minesweeper game.
