    Outlook Express
    « on: November 29, 2007, 02:50:55 PM »
My aunt sends pictures within an email message that all that appears are the dreaded red "X"'s. When she sends them using an attachment everything is fine.
She uses 'Outlook Express' & I'm using "Outlook". Any ideas as to what the problem might be? As far as I know she is the only person in my address book that uses Outlook Express.

Thanks for any help anyone might give me!

Have her check this.  In OE, go to Tools, Options, Send, click the button labeled HTML Settings, and check/enable "Send pictures with messages".  Does that work?

I had so much trouble with Outlook Express that I uninstalled it and now I use Gmail.  I haven't had any problems viewing anything since then.

I've used OE for years and have had no problems with it.  I'm sure the issue in the original post here is due to wrong settings.
