Mozilla Firefox
« on: December 01, 2007, 06:07:15 AM »
Less than a week ago, I got an update alert that Firefox 2.0.0.10 had come out.
I didn't install it because I couldn't be bothered but now, a few days later, I get an update for 10.0.0.11.
When will it end....

Anyone try out Firefox 3 yet?

go to tools-options-advanced-update

As shadowfierce says, just disable the auto updates if it annoys you.
Always check the release notes before installing, the update may not be required.
And I'm sure you would rather have a web browser that is regularly updated than one that is only updated once every few years, right?

I keep it checked but when the update alert pops up, I just closed the box (the cross at the top).

I'm running 3.0 on the testbench machine right now...
I think most will like the new features and improvements, but keep in mind it is still in Beta.
I've had browser crashes a few times but these issues are being addressed.

It's so right. We can only appreciate Mozilla people for coming up with new patches whenever new security concern arises. All those minor updates are for that reason only.

Sure. Recent threat that I have posted in Computer News forum, is no danger for Firefox users. That's because they continuously test the software and fix flaws.
I will run Firefox 3, only if it automatically updates by itself as other updates.
