Need help with Quake 3

Hi all, I have a 8mb video card and quake still wont let me play.

It says the least is 4mb video card

Can anyone help me?

I have a 1 gig ram, 3 ghz processor
and a ATI Rage XL vid card 8mb

can anyone help me please?

    Does it give you an error message?  If so, what is it?  The more we know about your problem the more we can help you.
