    monitor issues..pls help

    Hi All,

    Hope this is the topic to put this in..

    Ive an LCD monitor..ive only had my computer for 5months. I have anti virus installed and run checks often . But i have an issue when i put turn the computer on the monitor is all a dark blue screen.
    the harddrive turns on but the monitor is all dark blue.

    can someone pls help me on wat i need to do...do  i need to re-format? if yes how do i re format?

    That means, power is on. Is monitor power light blue, or yellow/orange?
    Is it connected to computer with VGA (analog), or DVI (digital) cable? Make sure, that cable is not loose on either end.
    If you have DVI cable, watch monitor closely when computer turns on. Does it display "No signal" message?
    Do you have another computer to try your LCD on?

      monitor power is yellow
      all the cables are connected..ive unplugged and plugged it all in again.
      i dont get the "no signal"message.
      i dont have another computer..but i will try it on a freindds.

      ...which means, it's not getting any signal from your computer.
      That's why I asked about cables? VGA, or DVI?
